My elder daughter has been growing up with dogs. The first one was Kuzia. We had him at the time of her birth. When she was one and a half years old, I brought home a Rizenschnauzer puppy. We named her Rada. The girl and the dog became great friends. The dog allowed the child to do with her everything. The daughter could even draw out bones the mouth without any risk.

Rizenschnauzer are very reasonable and intelligent dogs. When Rada died away of an old age we decided to get a couple of apsos Philip and Zlata. At the moment of birth my second daughter we had two adult Lhasa apso dogs and were in a great puzzle. We were greatly worried how that Tibetan trouble-makers would meet the appearance of our pampered girl because I heard that the dogs of Lhasa apso brend do not love infant children. But our nervousness was groundless.

When I brought home the pampered girl Philip responded to very quietly. Zlata was notably nervous, wanted to have a look into the cradle and to lick the child. We even had on couple of weeks to put her on a leash. Step-by-step she got used to the new little person in the house. On the other hand Philip frequently was lying down nearby the cradle and did not permit Zlata to step up to it. Our apsos became to consider the child as a full rights member of "their troop". They treat her very fondly, and Zlata as soon as possible tries to lick the child the kiddy.

When the child was four and a half month old we made a crazy action, we got one more apso-pappy which we named Virginia. She understood at once, that the child was not one to be trifled with.
